How did you meet?
Ashley: We first met at his work when I was purchasing furniture for my first apartment…he was my salesman! About six months later we saw each other again in Bricktown, and we definitely remembered each other. I told him he should call me sometime, and he took me on a date a few weeks later ( the first “date” I had ever been on)!
How did he propose?
Ashley: He surprised me with a trip to Vegas! I had never been before and he insisted we go! He took me to dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant and when dessert came, “Will you marry me?” was written in chocolate on the plate! I was so confused by the color of our dessert I didn’t even notice what it said until he asked me if I saw the plate! I laughed then suddenly cried with an over flow of emotions! I will never forget that night!
What was your favorite wedding memory?
Ashley: My favorite memory of the wedding is when we were saying our vows and being so serious I started laughing because we aren’t ever that serious!
AJ: My favorite memory is when the doors opened and I got to see Ashley for the first time in her dress… It made me cry, I was so happy, and she was so beautiful!!
What do you like about each other the best?
AJ: What I like about Ashley the best is her sense of humor and how much she care for others! She wouldn’t hesitate to give her shirt off her back to someone who needs it more than her!
Ashley: What I like about AJ the best is his calm approach to everything! He has a way of making me smile even when I want to cry!
Ashley: As a couple, we are fun-loving and easy going! We love being surrounded by our family and friends and making memories as cheesy as that sounds!
The funniest part was when we were about to do our farewell, and we started chugging the champagne out of the bottle since we couldn’t take it to the next location with us!

I still plan to check out A.J.’s band, Junebug Spade… their sound is something like the Beatles, the rolling stones and the Kinks all combined into one–yes!!!
