So back in January Melody and I spent part of our anniversary dinner looking over stories from single mom’s and families who had adopted. We wanted our 29th anniversary to be a blessing to someone just as so many people had been a blessing to us. We posted our desire on facebook and Tiffany responded with this email.
Randy,
Wow…this is so cool. I would like to nominate my parents-in-love, Jim and Susan Stewart. They adopted Andrew’s brother, Marquise when he was a baby…a baby born with kidney failure. They had been praying for the Lord to give them a child, a child that had special needs and along came Marquise. His mother gave him up for adoption and through DHS they were able to adopt him. He is now 21 and has had two kidney transplants and is now in kidney failure. Since last November, he has been in and out of the hospital every month and is now doing dialysis until more can be done. It has been so hard on them, but they continue to rest in the Lord’s faithfulness, strength, and sovereignty. I am in awe of them and the way they are so sold out for God…in the midst of so much trial. Along with this, Susan is the director of Living Hope, a ministry for women who are coming out of prison and Jim works at The Children’s Center in Bethany…God has been able to use them for his glory in so many ways. With the future being so unknown, I know they would be so grateful to be able to have family pictures taken with their precious son, Marquise. Thank you for being a blessing!! ~Tiffany
All I can say is that Macy (my assistant) and I were touched beyond words by this family. I can’t imagine ten people being more in love and caring towards one another than the Stewarts. It was an amazing blessing to capture this very holy moment in their lives. Thank you Tiffany for taking the time to nominate your “parents-in-love.” As always…be blessed! ~Randy
